Many opinions have been expressed when it comes to if violent video games negatively effect (or have any effect at all) on young minds. We are not alone in our opinion that these games do increase aggression. Parents should be aware of the violence in these games and we intend to illustrate how violent they truely are. The video provided exemplifies the reality of these games and illustrates a glimpse of

how a shooting masacre, like Sandy Hook, would look like.

This clip exposes the audience to a certain insight, that children are unaware of the danger of these games. For example, one boy's reaction to the live footage of Call of Duty was, “It’s pretty bad… uh… It’s pretty violent, but I mean… if you’re… if you’re Russian, then it’s pretty bad” (Young, “Violent Video Games Affect Kids”). The fact this young child only grasps that the Russians are solely in danger, and fails to understand that the affects of violent video games expand to all cultures, proves parents need to protect their children from such thoughts. If this one kid cannot grasp the finality of death, what does that say for other children? Again, this video provides an answer to this question. In interviewing the other students, Luke Young uncovers a hidden truth, that they are so focused on the thrill of the game, that they cannot see the negative affect it has on their developing minds.

Fox news did a segment on whether or not video games are teaching children to kill. Their guest speaker, Lieutenant Colonel Dave Grossman, sums up our argument in a couple of minutes.

Grossman suggests violent video games are causing young children to develop killing abilities. His work in law enforcement and his knowledge of certain teaching simulations gives him much credibility in regards to the question if violent video games cause children to kill. We concur with his theory that the realism of the games causes negative effects on the minds of the young.
