Stop the Madness was established in October 2013 as a project for a college English class. It is designed to provide current information about violent video games and how they negatively affect children. Through various studies, including ones from well-known psychologists (Craig Anderson), Stop the Madness hopes to inform its readers of the potential dangers of long time exposure to violent video games. It is also our intention to raise awareness of this growing problem and hopefully curb the increased rate in civic violence. We hope to prevent such massacres as the Sandy Hook shooting and Columbine from reoccurring by letting all know of the potential short and long-term effects of using violent video games at a young age.

We have provided two informational videos, which can be found by going to the studies tab and clicking on related videos, that prove video games are detrimental to a child. We recommend the videos because they give you a good glimpse of what a violent video game look, feels, and sounds like. If the videos do not cut it for you, we have also provided specific statistical data (found by clicking the studies and under statists) as well as two psychological studies (found under the studies tab) that prove the negative effects of violent video games on adolescents. Both these forms of media are interesting and provide substantial evidence to support our argument. Take a look at these and we promise you will not be disappointed.

Stop the Madness wanted to make finding the information as accessible as possible. On each page, located at the top right hand corner, you will find a blue botton that can direct you back to a certain page. The page you will be directed to is stated on the blue button. We pride ourselves on the quality of the information presented and the quick navigation found on our website.

We encourage you to explore our website because we guarantee you will not regret it as your perspective on life will change.
